BELIEVER Begins Recording New Album
August 15, 2010Reactivated late '80s/early '90s technical-thrash metallers BELIEVER have entered the studio to begin recording their new album for a tentative early 2011 release. Guitarist/vocalist Kurt Bachman writes in an online posting, "The drums are just about finished and I have many tunes in the bag for the initial rhythm guitars.
"Once again, the tunes are quite different and when I listen to them it kind of sounds like someone else wrote them which creeped me out at first.
"I really like the tunes and you will be able to tell that we stepped outside our comfort zones. Always fun to do that!
"We hope to finish this up in the next couple months and I will keep you posted on possible release dates once we discuss with Metal Blade."
BELIEVER performed live for the first time in 16 years on September 25, 2009 at Sterling Hotel in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
The band's fourth album, "Gabriel", was released in March 2009 through KILLSWITCH ENGAGE frontman Howard Jones's new imprint label Cesspool Records via Metal Blade. The CD featured guest appearances by Jones, Joe Rico (SACRIFICE),CKY/WORLD UNDER BLOOD guitarist/vocalist Deron Miller and Rocky Gray (EVANESCENCE, SOUL EMBRACED, LIVING SACRIFICE).
